Edward Verlander
 
Edward Verlander is IESC’s Chair of the Board of Directors, responsible for board leadership, organizational vision, and organization's intelligence.

Edward specializes in professional development providing consulting services in management development, coaching, conference leadership, learning design, and consulting as a profession. He is a master teacher and an expert in experiential learning. 

With thirty years of management and consulting experience, Edward’s IESC’s clients include higher education institutions and private industry companies. He has consulted around the world for numerous Fortune 500 companies, provided C-suite level executive coaching, directed executive programs at Columbia and the University of Michigan, and has been a professor at Nanjing and Dongbei universities in China, as well as Long Island, Stony Brook, and Columbia universities in the United States.

Edward earned a bachelor’s degree and an MBA from the University of Connecticut and an MA and doctorate from Teachers College, Columbia University. His dissertation research focused on the educational design of executive programs at university business schools in the United States. In addition to numerous speaking engagements, he has published many articles including most recently Strategies for Improving Employee Retention in 2007. His book, The Practice of Professional Consulting, was published by J. Wiley in October, 2012.
