Sarah Wang
 

Sarah Qian Wang is IESC’s Chief Executive Officer responsible for strategic planning, client management, and IESC’s resources development. She is also a member of IESC’s Board of Directors.


In addition to leading the company’s strategic initiatives and educational operations, Sarah’s responsibilities include overseeing IESC’s relationships with Columbia University and school districts in New York State. As a specialist in program design, she provides consulting in leadership development in education, and has successfully implemented a range of Sino-US exchange and professional development programs. 


Sarah also consults with Teachers College, Columbia University, providing support and advice regarding the College’s various initiatives with China. In addition, she is a doctoral student at Columbia working on interdisciplinary studies in education leadership.  Her research focuses on cross-cultural, comparative leadership in Sino-US education.

Fluent in English and Mandarin, Sarah is an expert translator for conferences requiring such capability. Born in Shenyang in northeastern China, she immigrated to the US in 1998 as an exchange student. She holds a BS degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance, earned an MBA from Long Island University, and an MA in Organizational Psychology from Columbia University.
