Marilyn C. Terranova

Dr. Marilyn C. Terranova has been a Superintendent of Schools in four different school districts in New York State for the past twenty-two years. She has been responsible for leading teams of school administrators and teachers to develop, implement and evaluate twenty-first century curriculum and instruction techniques through the use of socratic seminars, critical thinking skills, interdisciplinary themes, and cutting edge technologies. Her most recent school district, Eastchester UFSD, has also been strategically involved in a partnership with Shiyan High School, in Liaoning Province, China. Students worked with several consultants via SKYPE and then travelled to China (three years) whereby students were able to immerse themselves in the culture of Hong Kong, Shanghai, Shenyang and Beijing. The school district also hosted a number of students and teachers from China over the past four years.

Dr. Terranova graduated with a Ph.D. and a M.S. in Educational Administration and Policy Studies from the State University of New York at Albany, a M.S. in Reading from Virginia Commonwealth University, and a B.S. in Elementary Education from the State University College of New York at Fredonia.
