Frederick Burmester - 2011: The trip for me was a "life changer", a journey that I will cherish forever. I loved living with the host family. We shared so many experiences together. I also enjoyed visiting the school, and talking to all of the students. The tour itself was very well organized. I loved how we saw modern China, as well as "historical" China. All of the scenery was spectacular! I was very impressed with the modern infrastructure of China: its highways, airports, and buildings. My favorite experience in China was when we were going through the Summer Palace. There were many groups of small children. They looked like school groups, with uniforms. We had so much fun interacting with them! We took several pictures, and I look at them often. Those beautiful children; those wonderful smiles. It made my group and me realize that we really are all the same. Our cultures may differ, but we all share the earth together. The warmth and friendliness of the Chinese people was the absolute highlight of my trip. I wish you well, and hope that all of your future trips continue to bring people together!
